Las Vegas teen a NASCAR champion

LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) — At only 16, Kayli Barker is the youngest female NASCAR champion and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

The local teenager, known as the “Racetrack Prodigy,” has won two Bandelero championships, and in 2012, she became the youngest female to win a NASCAR championship.

Kayli’s dream is to follow in the footsteps of other drivers who got their start at the Las Vegas Speedway — Kurt and Kyle Busch and Dylan Kwasneski. In the meantime, she’s just happy to drive.
